“Davis has provided prosecutors with visual evidence so compelling that the Hennepin County attorney’s office recently asked the Minneapolis Police Department to ‘please provide reports and photographs in a format similar to that used by Mr. Davis.”
Inspector Chris Morris, Fifth Precinct Commander, South Minneapolis added:
“I wish we had more people like Don Davis. He’s giving us these vandals on a silver platter.”
Morris further stated in an April 2000 letter, addressed to business owners, “Don’s skills have not only helped us catch dozens of felons, but also turned us onto numerous individuals in the act of burglarizing homes, stealing from cars and committing other crimes.”
Hennepin County Commissioner said in the Star Tribune that the county hired Davis two years ago because “the problem seemed like it was getting worse; we needed his investigative skills out on the street.” Commissioner Peter McLaughlin, Page B2, November 25, 2000.
Davis' work was helpful concerning felony level cases officials said.
